OOTD: Lonely Mondays

Today's OOTD:

I wore a sheer black tank that has a see-through lace cross on the front. Because this shirt is sheer, I slid on a navy blue bandeau underneath to cover up. I am also wearing a pair of simple grey high-waisted shorts. My shorts are a size too big--an easy fix. Just had to grab a belt! The one I chose to wear is a skinny black patent belt. For shoes, I am wearing my favorite Jeffrey Campbell's. They are the HIYA sneaker in Tiger Print.

I stayed very comfortable in this outfit today. The weather outside was sunny and beautiful--typical southern California. Lately, it hasn't been as hot as everyone expects during mid-June... still perfect shorts weather though. No complaints.

Top: Marshall's
 Shorts: Nordstrom Rack
Belt: my mother's closet
Shoes: Karmaloop.com

I bought this shirt a while ago, so I can't quite remember how much it cost... probably around $14? Very cheap. I picked up the shorts recently at Nordstrom Rack for $23--a complete steal. My belt, as listed above, did indeed come from my mother's closet. Shout out to her for letting me borrow her stuff! Finally, my lovely platform sneakers... I purchased them for $78+shipping from Karmaloop.com. I've had them for a little over 3 months.

Summer Trend: Coral

One trend I've been seeing a lot of (particularly for swimsuits) is the color Coral. Although it goes best with people who have warm undertones in their skin, almost anyone can rock it. Coral pieces can be paired with other neutral solids or pieces with small patterns/detailing.
